If you are reporting sync or dictation behavior, include your macOS version, whether iCloud is signed in, and whether the issue happens after relaunch.
Common Notch Notes Issues
- The panel does not open: confirm the app is running in the menu bar, then try the menu-bar icon and Option+Space shortcut.
- Notes are not syncing: confirm iCloud is signed in on this Mac. Notch Notes falls back to local-only autosave when iCloud is unavailable.
- Dictation is unavailable: allow Microphone access in System Settings, then restart dictation.
- Exports cannot be saved: choose a folder you can write to; the sandbox only writes where you grant access.
